How it works

The plan is measured
Floor area, wall areas less doors and windows, counter runs, backsplash bands and the shower and tub walls are taken from the plan.

Quantities are calculated
Standard estimating rules add waste and round up, and the line shows its math, such as “120 sq ft + 15%”.

Products are priced
Each line takes the chosen product and its store price. A total appears only when the price unit matches the quantity's unit.

Share and order
Compare stores, export a PDF, share the list with the client for approval, and mark what was ordered.
The estimating rules
The math a good estimator does, written down.
Quantities follow common US remodel takeoff practice, the same rules flooring and tile retailers, countertop fabricators and paint makers publish. You can change the waste percentage on any line.
- Flooring: floor area + 15%, full boxes from the box coverage
- Countertop: run length × (depth + 1.5″ overhang), islands included, + 10%
- Backsplash: wall runs × 18″ less windows, + 10%
- Shower walls: 3 walls × 96″, + 15%; tub surround 60″ above the rim
- Paint: net wall area × 2 coats ÷ 350 sq ft per gallon
- Baseboard: wall length less door widths, + 10%
